Pretty sure that Malcolm Borg has been building with the carbon ti hubs for a while. He won’t build wheels with them if you+bike >90kg, but last I spoke to him about it he said he’d had zero issues. His takeaway is don’t rock the ww stuff if you’re heavy yourself. Seems fair 🤷🏻*♂️

THE weight weenie stem of choice w/ ti bolts. can't beat it
The design of the faceplate is the best in the biz too. Love the rounded, matched faceplate clamp.

No way I would put up with the hassle of the Darimo non opening faceplate. Looks cool though. Reminds me a bit of the Crank Bros stem design

Ogle design is my ww porn lately.

The 31.8mm clamp diameter probably offsets the width somewhat.

To throw some fuel on this fire... wasn't there a smattering of failures in Thomson X2 stems back when they were "it"? Those stems are decidedly not WW...

I'm a big fan of extralight. Running 3 of their headsets, standard ultratop/bottom, HD ultratop on the gravel bike. Also running their chain rings on my 2 road bikes and my gravel bike. Fast road and gravel bike both running the hyper stem. I would be interested in their hubs but again a little hesitant on ww hubs.

Yesterday I was checking this bike out on the R&A site, and came across a hub brand I wasn't familiar with.
Tactic Racing might owe Mercedes-Benz a few bucks for stealing their slogan...

I stick to riding a Syntace F99 stem. If I want more weight on my bike, I have one more piece of cake and another beer.
