Carbon fenders: anybody still making them

The Hampsten in classified got me lusting for carbon fenders, but seems like who made them is no longer doing so...

Anybody still making carbon fenders?
A quick web search shows http://xelo-fenders.com/ but I'm not convinced by their mounting solution. Anybody have experience with them?
Also btchn bikes seems to have been developing them for a while now.

Am I missing something? Are carbon fenders just a stupid idea?

You'll have to order them from the UK but as far as I am aware the old Swarf design are the only ones that are still available. Now sold by VeloDuo. These are the ones as seen on Rich's Hampsten Strada Bianca build.
