That is pretty interesting from a material standpoint.

The one thing that I wonder about saddle comfort is how much a simple (or not so simple) adjustment in pedaling style and the way you sit on the saddle can make a difference.

When I had my long lay off the bike last year, and got back on it this year, (same saddle position) I was shocked at how uncomfortable the saddle position was. I had learned to live it, but it was not ideal. I made (and continue to make) some big tweaks in angle and fore/aft and am much more comfortable now.

My point was, the body is pretty good at adapting to things, so a custom saddle may not be the cure-all if you've adopted a less than optimal position/pedaling style.
