So much fun!

The relax atmosphere, beautiful route, quiet roads, challenging hills, food, but most importantly, the people and friends.

Not sure Iā€™ll make it this year, but if the stars align Iā€™ll be running either 35mm schwalbe g-one allroad tires in 700c or 48mm 650b gravel kings.

I have exactly the same options. Think I'm going to go with the G-One.

I rode 700c 38 paselas the first time and was also severely under geared. Iā€™m really liking 650b currently and have multiple bike and wheel options at this point. I will have to figure out which setup will work best for me this time around. Definitely going with wide range gearing compared to the 12-29 I ran a couple of years ago.

Iā€™ve ridden it with 700c x 38mm (Specialized Trigger Pro) and on 28mm (Spec Roubaix). I rode the 650b on a local ride with terrain similar to D2R2 (Monkey Knife Fight) for the first time and I thought they were too much. They were ideal for Hilly Billy Roubaix and Iā€™m looking forward to using them for Keystone Gravel, but figured Iā€™d try the g-one 35mm for this. I actually havenā€™t ridden them yet, will throw hem on next week and see how they feel. Good luck out there!!

The g-one all road are very nice tires and will be plenty for d2r2. I have a few other 650b options in 42 and 38 as well. Iā€™m doing the gravel ididaride tomorrow with 650b. It will be a good test run although a much shorter ride with less climbing. Good luck to you as well!

Annual vacation to the beach every year two weeks always ends on the Monday after this ride.

One day....
