DT Swiss rr411:could be replacement of Belgium?

i have mavic ksyrium SLR and considering build a new wheel just because i want silver spokes and colorful hubs.

in the process of choosing rims, i found dt swiss rr 411 rims, which would perfectly fits on my bike.

it has 21mm of height --otherwise belgium is 24mm, and i think it is somewhat high for my SV-- and internal/external width of 18m/22mm.

the problem is, it is difficult to find reviews of rr411 rims.
is there anyone wiling to share information about it?

also any recommendations of aluminum clincher rims (height should be less than 25mm) are welcome

Well, haven't actually used it but I have built about 4 sets of them. VERY nice, and light, rim. Uses a 'proprietary' spoke nipple(Squorx) but not essential. What is essential is using rim washers..both of which(nipples and washers) are included with rim. Great, typical DT quality..DT the flattest, roundest rims when new I have built with. Just remember, these are light rims.

well, i doesn't care about the weights, only cares durability and stiffness.
hope rr411 is not far bad compared to belgium

MUCH lighter than a HED Belgium..
DT411-435
HED-465
DT511-488

also $50 cheaper than HED..I've built all 3 and I honestly don't understand why HED are so much more $..yes, nice rims but not 30% better, IMHO, of course.

AND I would agree with Angry right below. H+Son Archetypes are really great rims..$60 per? Yowser...

i personally consider h+son archetypes the standard for aluminum clincher rims right now. i've built a few sets and they are always round and true out of the box and build up to a strong, durable wheel. at about 60 bucks a rim, the price is great too.

there are the new crop of ceramic coated rims out now, and another parallel discussion here on the forum, but the price of entry there is about 3x of the archetypes.

Wondering what difference I would notice switching from Ambrosio Excellight rims to these DT411 rims (28/32 f/r).

Think the 411 rim is a lighter version of the R460 - same shape and dimensions. Those have tons of great reviews. If you're not worried about weight, these might be the way to go.

Not really..411 completely different both in profile, OC rear, and country of manufacturer(Switzerland VS Asia). 460 an excellent rim but not really like 411...

Notice a difference? Donno..resulting tire profile would certainly be different..if you buy into the wider, mo better gig.

I am with Nick. For the price I don't think the archtype can be beat in terms of performance and looks. Only reason to look away is if you want tubeless.

They are not heavy rims but not 410g like the dt swisses which are also less deep (aerodynamics are good yo)
