Saddle rails question
Do different saddle rail materials provide different advantages/disadvantages? Or do you only pay a huge increase in price for very minimal weight reduction?

Some people say they notice a difference when they ride. I don’t. For me, it’s a weight decision.

With low pressure high volume road tires these days, it's honestly just weight. Tires add so much more suspension that you won't really notice the other changes short of adding a suspension stem etc.

In a controlled environment (lab testing), yea there'll be difference in vibration damping. Different material should transmit different results. Real world, unlikely to notice it. Maybe a softer material might flex some compared to carbon and thus provide a softer ride. Personally, I'd do it for weight savings.
