HollandS...John, not Bill

So the (tiny) wife has been on a Chinese aluminum 44cm/650c frame for a decade now. I keep buying high-value improvements and the gear now far outclasses the chassis...DA 7703 triple from a roof rack/garage victim, Ouzo Pro from eBay, etc. Well, in the late spring I discovered a cracked headtube and restricted the bike to trainer use. Coincidentally, I was in the local co-op shortly thereafter and hanging on the fund-raiser wall is a John Hollands 47cm/650c 531 wearing 9s Campy and Deltas. Hello!

I'm thrilled to say that after confirming condition and dimensions, this one followed us home. The Campy is for sale (see classifieds here), the DA/Ouzo transplanted beautifully (I swapped some parts horde SSC nice!), and even though the fit is impossibly whack for me this is one of those bikes that you can just tell is magic when you ride it. Stays are obviously curved, but also flattened somewhat pretty!

There are a few details to be finished up before I can give a full body shot, but here's a few teasers...

nice! this is sure to be a noticeable improvement over a cheap alu frame, for sure. let us know how the wifey likes it once she gets some miles on it.

funny how things just work out sometimes eh?

Very nice.

I happen to have a super nice ELOS Hollands that I love to death.

One of the few I would never part with, as the fit is exact and the tubeset is one of my favorites.

More pics of yours please.
