Just in case you wanted to try out some Muc Off lube, REI is selling the $25 bottle of Hydrodynamic lube for $6.00

tire sealant works as advertised also. i think it's super convenient to use too with the pouch it comes in. $10 bucks works for me. the spout fits right over a valve core and goes right into the tire. very good dispensing idea.

Do you notice any issues in cold weather? I have a big bottle of Stans getting ready to go tubeless on my mountain bike, but my buddy says that the Muc off lasts longer. Though he lives in Austin.

Maybe I'll run into you at our local REI picking my bottle. Thanks for the heads up, David.

Apologies for the drift (and, I fear, repeating myself)…I'm working on reducing the number of cycling things I buy with a high plastic packaging to product ratio. Mostly that's nutrition and hydration, via preparing actual food and putting in ziploc bags that I reuse or just wrapping in paper. I see a number of riders who have a can of sealant attached to their seatpost, not sure if those things are recyclable or not…the calculus on this stuff gets complex.

If some vendor(s) were to come up with more environmentally friendly packaging for these things they'd win my business. </drift>

I suppose an alternative is to buy a big container of sealant and fill a tubeless syringe with it(then plug it somehow) and bring THAT along for the ride.

I buy Orange Seal in quart bottles. I have never brought sealant outside of a tire on a ride.

A few weeks ago, another rider needed to top up after a puncture. Her sealant had gone dry-ish.

Nice Doxa there. Care to give us the view that's 180 degrees from the clasp? :-)
