Best Carrier/Shipper

Who is the most reliable shipper for a bike frame today? Shipping in continental US.

BikeFlights or PirateShip, both use UPS.

They're all mostly fine, just insure who you ship with.

BikeFlights, because if something goes wrong you'll have them working for you and on your side against the shipping company.

I had good luck with BikeFlights, incl. changing the delivery address after the postage was paid for.

BikeFlights offers more comprehensive support for shippers of frames. PirateShip: you're on your own with insurance.

Piling on for BikeFlights. They shipped a bike for me a while back, UPS mauled it, and I got full value for the damage in just a short period of time. I wish all businesses were this solid.

I've been using BikeFlights for wheelsets for years and can only say good things about them..

Twice when the shipper(Both FedEx, they now use UPS), smashed up some wheels, FedEx instantly said, 'Denied', but BF covered them(with $) in a matter of hours..Great company..

I don't understand how this works - how does adding a "middleman" reduce the price?
