I've heard 'La Bicyclette - Boutique et Atelier' is a great shop. On my list to visit when next in Paris.

Unfortunately it closed more than a year ago now.

They (the family) are still collecting /hoarding vintage parts though. Can be found via @vintagebikepartsparis on Instagram

Anyone know much about their current frames and pricing? They look good as they should as I know they are pricey. Has anyone bought a new frame recently and care to comment?

I am headed to Paris and am tempted but I am sure the sticker shock will get me.

I have a bike currently being built there that was the result of a shop visit in 2023, and I have another from several years earlier as well. I can confidently say that since you have an interest in the style of bikes that AS makes, you will have a great time with your visit. As for pricing, I think that you should contact Olivier Csuka directly. There is a form on the website. Something to keep in mind is that they are “constructeurs” and so they build complete bikes and don’t really deal in selling frames/forks. Very bike is a custom down to the last nut and bolt in some cases. With all of the differences in tubing, chrome plating, components, custom racks, custom stems, etc. there is a very wide range. Olivier is great and the working out of these details is part of the experience. I would make contact via email before you visit to confirm a convenient time for your visit to ensure that he will be there on that day and so he can allot some time to discuss your details. You might just go upstairs to the “clubhouse” area (it was formerly a small apartment) and discuss your bike over a glass of wine or a beer.

One other note…I think that they may have just reopened today after their normal summer hiatus so it may be best to wait a day or two before emailing as their mailbox is likely overflowing.

I will email Olivier to get some ballpark idea of pricing. I am interested in a Competition model but customized for my older body ie long head tube and not much handlebar drop. Would want wide gearing and maybe Campy Centaur or Chorus not Sram.

How flexible are they on setup re desired components as I am fairly picky from many years of experience.

I don't care much about cosmetics but do care about functionality.
