The hottest cyclocross race I think I've ever done. 90deg F and dusty too. Heck of a fun time though.

The "Not So Over the Hill" Gang. My buddy Michael (L) is 68 and my buddy Kenrick (R) is 72. They paced me the entire ride.

Heat was tolerable. Late August is a good time to ride there. I'd say temps were low to mid-80's, not much wind. Cooler on the top, of course, but not by much. A lot of haze, though.

Rode up Malaucene route this time, which has nice views along the way. (I've ridden up the Bedouin route a couple of times before.) Stopped at Chalet Liotard for some Coke. That's about 6km from the top.

Amazing what a magnet this mountain is for cyclists. The entire area is just crawling with cyclists. Drivers are almost wholly polite and patient.

It's been a long time since I've ridden in the woods.

Got the Ventana sold sans wheels so they went onto the Raijin ... now 1x9 instead of single speed.
