Rattlecanned CAAD10

my "race what you can replace" bike. came across a bunch of deals and total for the build minus wheels was under 1k.

was originally the grey/black caad paint scheme. stripped it and painted it myself with spray paint. nowhere close to a perfect paint job but I thoroughly enjoyed the process and seeing the final outcome.

Many times is not about the paint quality but about how well the paint design is. This one looks super nice.

Agree. The lines, curves, and breaks are very well-proportioned. Good job!

(Now you just need to get BBD to pose with it, in his Specialized outfit.... )

So freaking good! Very nicely done, and I absolutely dig the sparkle black.

That paint job doesn't NEED to be perfect; it looks great as-is!

That stripe thing you've got going reminds me of John Slawta's Landsharks, and that's a compliment. Replacing the Cannondale logo makes it look like a professional job. Too cool for school.

Awesome! It is certainly a beautiful design, with a well balanced visual method to its madness... In the first pic I cannot decide whether it looks like a psychedelic zebra or BDSM bike bondage. Either way, unusual and waaay better than the boring original graphics.

Nice work, what kind of paint did you use to get that sparkle?

thanks everyone! this was done just purely using spray paint. i got the sparkle by spraying a very light layer of glitter using rustoleum "glitter blast" which has a ton of colors to choose from. then wet sand with 2000 grit to smooth out the glitter and last coat was rustoleum "shimmer effect"

Now, it just needs the "Rider".
