Exclamation Picture posting psa

Im going to put this out there, since it seems that not everyone is aware of the EASIEST way to post photos here.

LINK THEM !

If your photos are hosted elsewhere (that includes here!), you can link them in any thread.

*Right click on the image you want to post
*Select "copy image URL"
*Click the "insert image" icon above on this forum in a reply or thread window
*Paste the copied URL

BOOM!

This works with any image on the web anywhere, with a few exceptions. Google image results, for example. just do the URL trick, no need to have the image saved anywhere.

Go ahead, try it here.

testing off our own

You may want to explain this to William. I do not think he does this in the builder spotlight section and I'm under the impression the other way eats u space.

Just a reminder that many workplaces now block photo sites.

So... when viewed from work the verbiage part of the post is present, but no visuals.

Just sayin'...

This is true. But, the reason I do it this way is so down the road if the hosting site moves or removes those photos they don't become broken links in the builder's threads and then show up like this...

If you want to do it that way...

Do "Save as", rename it, save it, post it. That works for me when I re-post a photo stored on my computer.

You're copying the web address. Hover your curser over the picture, right click, and copy image address (which is https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-X...0/IMG_0201.JPG)

Then click and paste:

Now, is there an easy way to search for pictures one has uploaded? I couldn't easily figure it out in the "Search" funcn, but I could've quite easily overlooked something.
