The World Champ is awesome

Last week Kate Courtney challenged all her fans to ride seven days straight as she needed inspiration for a huge training block. I asked my son if he was up for her challenge. He was and actually wrote her a letter accepting the challenge and asking her to ride with him to school on the final day which happened to be his birthday. I took a picture of the letter and DM'ed her on Instagram. She replied and said she would do her best to do it. Thursday night rolls around and I get an email from her business manager telling me Kate needs all her rest and wishes she could do it but cannot. However, she would like to send some posters and stuff. Awesome, I thought. I am touched TeamKate reached out. Well, turns out that TeamKate hand-delivered personally signed birthday wishes posters to my son and daughter on his birthday which is today! Incredibly touched!!!! My kids were jumping up and down. What a great person our World Champ is.

No we don’t know personally. We do see TeamKate riding through the neighborhood. But that’s about it.
