Turn the rim brake bike into a fendered SS/fixed and keep riding it.

That looks great, nice build!

How would you describe the ride quality, both overall and in direct comparison to its rim-braked relative?

To me it's about the same bike with a better braking system. I really like the rim brake bike and don't want to sell it but the reality of me and my 8 or so bikes is that it's not needed and I really want the track Steelman that SoCalSteve has. I have owned several Ritcheys over the years and they have all been great. This one will keep me out of the custom line for a few years hopefully. I am 6'2" and 240lbs the bike is plenty stiff and comfortable for longish rides, which at my age of 59 aren't maybe what they used to be.

It’s going to be one of the new classics, so very glad that they kept the same feel. It’s on my steel frame shortlist now, thanks a lot for the info. Hope you have fun with yours and enjoy the ride.
