I have those shifter internal cables on two of my bikes and they work just fine.

I followed one of the links you posted and saw the Cinelli pictures. I think all three of us got fantastic bikes at really nice prices. The Casati looked like it's never been used. And I think your Cinelli and AndyK's De Rosa all looked brand new.

Not vintage like some of the others, but this beautiful hunk of steel just showed up today
And this project is close to wrapping up too.... |

Spacemen:
What are those wacky hubs on that Fondriest? And that crank: Milled out Campy? Made me remember a drillium Zeus 2000 crank we had around the shop back in the '70s. |

The hubs are Specialized Roval Pave SL high-flange hubs. The crank is late 90's Miche Supertype. Cool looking stuff IMHO.

Ah, Miche Supertype - never saw the crank in the flesh. Matches the seatpost.

Is this not unusual enough?
Bought new in 1978, repainted last year by Joe Bell; chose decals from several years earlier since I like them better than the black-on-white-panels. (Wish JB hadn't painted the extra red on the chainring, oh well.) Gios Super Record 1978 by cgolvin, on Flickr |
