MTB Palm Springs / Palm Desert area

Apologies for the MTB-centric nature of this post.

My wife and I plan to visit the Palm Springs area in early March and would like to do some trail riding if possible. Can anyone suggest a shop which might rent MTBs?

I appreciate that many tourist-area rental operations (including BIke Palm Springs) have a collection of cruisers and e-bikes to choose from, but we'd like something a bit more suitable.

Reply inline or privately - thanks much!

Tim

I don't know shops in the immediate area, but if you're flying in from LAX or John Wayne, I can recommend some shops with good MTBs on the way towards Palm Springs, such as The Path Bike Shop, in Tustin.

Not about riding but I just wanted to recommend visiting Joshua Tree while you're out there, OP. I've visited a fair amount of places people say are 'spiritual', but Joshua Tree truly felt that way to my wife and me. Amazing place.

Heck, nothing wrong with MTB posts at all. All types of riding welcome here.

Can't be of help on the MTB rides, but I've been to Joshua Tree a bunch of times. Never had a bike with me, but riding the road from N-S is a bucket list ride for me.

I suggest Joshua Tree to Vegas. I stayed next to the Gram Parsons room the night before but if you're with a spouse, I suggest Room 2, which has a spa.
