Tour Das Hugel

Anyone planning to do Tour das Hugel this Saturday in Austin?

Looks like the weather may be close to perfect.

It will be my fourth time. I’m sure I’ll be questioning my decision to do it again as soon as the road starts pointing upward and repeated pushes of my shifter fails to find a lower gear.

Hope you have a good ride.

Have fun m-pal!

I have done it twice...and that was enough to last me a lifetime. I don't need or want to do it again

Maybe?

I'm trying to decide if I really want to suffer that much.

Oh, and I have the privilege of climbing Jester, Lakewood, or Beuford every ride so the novelty isn't there.

Thank you and I understand that sentiment!

Wow, I can’t imagine doing those climbs every ride. It must be a walk in the park for you. One year I rode with a guy who lived at the top of Jester. That was the perfect place to end the ride.

Yes, mission accomplished. It was a great day for it if a bit foggy at the start. Were you riding a Peg 8:30am? I rode near a guy on one and mentioned that it was a nice bike.

Here’s a photo of me grinding up Beauford.

Ah yes, I was staring at your frame trying to figure it out what it was, and by the time I realized it was a Breakaway you were too far away from me on Bee Cave. Beautiful bike, and congratulations on making it through!

Here's me dying on Beauford.
