Does anybody know anything about the new Shamal DB Ultra Wheels? Last year they were announced as 17C aluminum rims (assuming 22.5 external). Same as Zonda DB.

Fulcrum just intro'd their new Zero DB with USB bearings 19c, 23.8 external.

I have some information that Shamal are now 17C 24.2 External but that doesn't seem right unless they are using Campy's Carbon 17C 24.2 Rim profile.

Any info out there?

Nope it's not compatible, the chain is a smidgen thinner 5.18 vs 5.62. And the throw on the mech & lever is different on the new stuff.

9s crank compatible with 10s, 10s crank is compatible with 11s, the 11s crank will be compatible with 12s shifters/ders. Remember, the LH shifter is a multi click, 'ratcheting friction', so older 'speed' crank compatibility easy..More positional LH shifters, like from the 'S' groups, not quite as good(altho you can make 'em work).

Campy Record 11 vs 12 brake clearance, its the same in my case, 12 is no better.

I was hoping Campy 12 brakes would give me more clearance on my F8 with Veloflex Vlaanderen 27mm tubulars, but they do not.

Karl, it doesn't look like you'd get more clearance with disc brakes. That bridge is tite!

Pinarello has been late to the party on the clearance game. It is a road race bike after all.

I've already tried a 12 speed chain on my 11 speed crank. It seemed to shift fine. Shifted OK through the cogs too.

Geez - That's the new 12 spd? Those shifters look like saddle horns (a la Shimatza). Where is the elegance? Where is the svelt? Say it ain't so, Joe!

Yes the bridge is a bit on the low side, but I have a set of brakes that clear fine with the 27mm tubs. I was just hoping to keep it all Campy and I was hoping the 12s would provide more clearance but they dont, not in this case.

I have some 25s, 26s and 27s so lots of choices, we will see how it lands.

Well this is a F8, I think most everyone was late to the party at that time. I'm supersized I can even get a 27mm to clear at all.
