Carbon wheelset? Lightbicycle or similar?
I've emailed the US warehouse/shop @ LightBicycle to see if they can do a wheelset with Bitex or Novatec, but if not looking like $659 shipped for
https://www.lightbicycle.com/U-shape...ompatible.html Any others out there for around this? Thoughts and/or reviews? I have a set of HUNT wheels https://www.huntbikewheels.com/colle...-28deep-22wide but was thinking of going Carbon for my new-to-me Wraith hustle |

I have a set of Reynolds cirro that I picked up on close out. They are attached to white industries Reynolds branded hubs and I put an 11 spd campagnolo cassette on them. I was going to put them on one of my roadies, but I’m really looking to downsize at the moment. I’d sell them with the cassette for $450 + actual shipping. If you are interested pm me.

At depths below 35mm and widths below 25 it's probably better to consider alloy options instead, since the weight will be comparable and the braking much better than everything outside of Enve. For a rim brake wheelset the braking surface is key. Not sure about Light Bicycle, but other carbon manufacturers vary a lot in how effective their surface is. If you're going into carbon just for the looks then maybe something built from alloys with a ceramic coated brake track, like from AI Force or Boyd. But if you're looking for deeper section rims that will provide some aero benefits with decent brake tracks a used set of Reynolds Assault, Boyd 44, Vision Metreon 40, Profile Design 58/24, etc. |
