2 Bolt Pedals for Road - Recommend

Only clipless road pedals I've used over the years are Time road pedals. Currently have them on all bikes except one that still has cages and straps. Which was fine when they accompanied a C-Record gruppo, but that is now replaced with Campy carbon 10sp and the pedals/cages just don't go with the carbon crank. Don't want to use 3 bolt road pedals as need one bike that doesn't entail walking like a duck. Hence considering 2 bolt pedals for road bike that will be used for city riding. Have no experience with them so suggestions/advice would be welcome.

Bike pic

Might as well include pic of bike. Admittedly, if I could find Bianchi celeste toe straps, tempted to pair them with black cages but having no luck finding them.

Not leather, but also not expensive: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BIANCHI-cin...0AAMXQMTlRaUFr

As for the pedals, I recommend Ultegra A600. There are cheaper versions, but they definitely are cheaper in performance too.

Also a fan of the Shimano A600 and A520.

Also.. why not swap the seatpost to carbon record? It would tighten the look on that beautifull bike.

Shimano pedals are probably the most reliable, but the A600 or A520 are absolutely pointless as you can only clip in to one side. The whole beauty of a two bolt system is the dual sided entry. They're purely a vanity thing for people who're worried about falling foul of "the rules".

I would personally go with Time Atac as the float "feels" better than Shimano and they're lighter

Just a note..on frames with a integrated seatbinder bolt/cluster, like the Bianchi, rather than a collar that you can turn 180 degrees..these 'can' crack carbon posts. Turning the collar arond or using a Campag collar helps to keep the hole 'round'..seen it more than once, older steel frame killing a carbon post.

Add to that the decreased seat tube angle on a low pro frame...

Went with Time ATACs. Decision aided by CC having them on sale.

OP, thanks for the warning re carbon seatpost. Wasn't on the agenda but good to know. Even apart from that issue, not sure it would be aesthetic improvement over current Campy SR post.
