I just wanted to put a shout out for Torm out of England.. I really like small, independent makers.

I picked up one of their early jerseys a few years back off the classifieds here and have really enjoyed it. Fast forward to this past holiday and season and I asked the in-laws for a second jersey.. got it, it was a bit snug and I worked with Paul at Torm to exchange it (super easy process). While they didn't have the exact jersey in the larger size, they certainly had plenty of other options.

Think of the Rapha Brevet jerseys (I have three of these as well, as a comparison), except a decent amount cheaper (around 80 GBP) for a very well-made merino wool jersey.. the one I got off the classifieds here has held up very well (still looks new), has very nice pockets, and is just quality stuff. Plus, they are a two person shop (bike and clothing) somewhere in the UK, just trying to make it work..

I would say pretty accurate.. I had bought an XL (44" chest) and found I needed the XXL.. which I find accurate because I'm husky

I'd say they fit very close to the Rapha Brevet jersey sizing.. no idea on the other Rapha stuff..

Is it made in the UK? Hard to tell by copy on the site, they talk about the length of time it takes to make a jersey and the materials , but nothing concrete about where it is made.

not sure, but a quick email will surely answer your question.. not really a concern for me (unless dangerous and/or child labor is involved, of course)

At 5'11''/172lbs, 42'' chest and 31 waist I find the size L to be a fitted, but not tight. I would purchase M if bought one now.
Nice jersey for cooler days especially.

everyone is different of course, but I find them very comfy, even on sunny summer days here in Sonoma County.. they do offer "light" versions as well I think..

Never heard of them, but looking at the site, I'm impressed- reasonably snug fit, thoughtful features, simple designs. When I'm next in the market for a jersey I hope to remember Torm.

like I said, I ran across someone on here selling one and my thought was "that looks a lot like the Rapha Brevets, but at a much lower price".. super impressed with the thoughtfulness and quality of the product.. I don't gush about much on here, but Black Mountain Cycles and Torm I certainly will!

Even a chest pocket, though I'm not sure what I would carry in that one.

Trying to figure out what the convex thing is above the middle back pocket.

Makes me wanna get back on the (road) bike to justify a purchase.

my older Torm has a zippered pocket there if I remember right (not sure on the new one yet), but maybe just something to help keep the back tightish when stuff is in the pockets? I'll know soon enough, my replacement jersey just shipped today! (along with a couple of base layers and a neck gaiter that was on sale)

I have several jerseys from them, short and long sleeved. All very nice and good quality. Quite similar to the Rapha's I have, but the fit is, in my experience, a little bit looser.
I also have a base layer, but I think it is sportwool and not 100% merino wool, which makes a difference for me, since it feels bulkier than what I prefer.

I know someone had some question on country of origin and I had let Paul at Torm know about this thread, here is his email to me regarding where/how the jerseys are made:

"Here is the list of components and the origin.

The merino wool is from a no muesling German owned Farm in Australia.

It is knitted into our fabric in Denmark to order

It is dyed to our specific colours in Poland to order.

The zips are the finest YKK Japanese coil zips with inverted pullers which are made to order in different sizes for different jerseys.

The stretchy reflective material is from France.

The elastic with siliconised gripper is made to order in Taiwan.

The thread is Scottish thread

The pocket lining, webbing and strengthening elastic are from Vietnam.

The 40+ components are brought together to create a jersey using Singer (American) sewing machines of 3 different types to create all the necessary thread patterns in a small family run modern factory of less than 20 employees in Vietnam.

I have personally visited the factory to ensure I was happy with the conditions which I have to say are a darn sight better than mine are in the bike shop me and Al also run!

Sorry for the length of the message but I really wanted to be transparent in what me and Al do and to show you that to make a quality jersey you need to source the right products and expertise."

Love this. I have been wanting a Torm for almost a decade now. I'm glad it has maintained its integrity! Bummer that it tends to run a little warmer (since I live in Socal) but a long sleeve jersey might be what I need for the chillier winters
