2017 Emonda SL Headset inquiry

So I am looking to build up an Emonda but I wanna get a lower stack on the front end. It comes with this huge conical compression cap. Thats going in the parts bin for sure. I am looking at the Cane Creek Slamset (Upper only), which reduces the stack to like 2mm. So, does anyone know if that "Hellbender" bearing will fit/work and the size I will need is IS41/28.6 right? Mainly for you Emonda owners out there but any insight is appreciated. Bearing angles, bores, dimensions are a little out of my mechanic knowledge....

As an Emonda SL owner, I have found zero public information on this. I think your best bet is to call up or visit your local Trek distributor and ask. But, they may only give you part numbers for OEM parts. I was equally as frustrated in finding headset specs.

I read that the headset "may" be the same as the Madone? Maybe that top cap is a little lower? Good luck.

Correct on the upper headset. Plan on swapping that out myself.
