Show me your tandem!

I saw several members post on the Ti gravel tandem thread about their own tandems. Post up some pics. We sold our Co-Motion several years ago but are considering another one.

Here's my first tandem ever; Burley Rumba with a cruiser build. This was owned by a local REAL HEAD, had for a great deal, and the seller was stoked to 'keep it in the family'. Tandem riding is less sketchy than I thought it was going to be. Loading it into a truck bed with a camper shell + bed platform kinda kills my back but owning and riding this bike has been great.

I love showing this one off, like a proud parent. It needs MTB tires in that picture.

Thanks! It belonged to John Slawata's brother who painted for him in the 80's.

Steve's Bilenky after he sold it to me and I rebuilt the drive train and repaired the small rust perforation. Sold locally last year - my wife is a decent rider and prefers her own bike

Our tandems.

Top photo summer before last in western NC. Purchased from formit Flydhest and much modified since......Campy Chorus 12 and the latest FSA carbon crankset. We took this tandem to France back in 2012....trip organized by TooTall.

Second photo was taken in the early 2000's.....our first tandem that we purchased in '93. No longer using the Mavic crankset (capt arm developed a crack) or the steel fork. Now equipped with Specialites TA cranksets and a Wound Up fork.

CoMOtion Steelhead

A road tandem that handles 45mm tires. Ultegra Di2, (shifts onto a 40 tooth large cog without any hesitation,) Gates belt drive, and Rolf Prima wheels. It's a blast to ride.

That Steelhead looks fantastic and is pretty much exactly as I would build it. Two sets of wheels, 1 with 32mm tires and 1 with 45mm tires, would make it perfect.
