Chapman Cycles Porteur

I was so happy with my first Chapman that i am having Brian build me a second. A porteur, i'm tired of feeling like a pack animal.

bikes done and super awesome, no handed riding with loads, super stable and lightweight, i really love this bicycle.

cool slideshow of the build process and final result-

11 speed friction? Sounds like it could be pretty finicky and require a pretty light touch.

Can you tell me what that chainring guard is? Or is it something custom made?

i am machining the teeth off of a 44 tooth outer chainring and then using it as the guard and the spider for the 38 tooth inner.
