True and I'm no geometry master but I just think looking at it with an effective TT of 53 and a slope ( obvious in the last picture) that the ST has to be shorter than the TT.

Reasonable you say?! When I offered this a few years ago, it languished on PL at a little over half this BIN.

i agree that bike is way overpriced. it's amazing what some people would consider "reasonable" just to buy a name on a downtube. i'm sure it's a fine bike, but realistically, there is nothing whatsoever remarkable about it - it's an old steel bike, certainly no better than more current offerings one could find for less. $.

IMO!

Looks to be in very nice condition with well-spec'd parts that complete the look. It's a lot better bike than what can be found for similar money in the new market, atmo. And in ten years will still be a classic while that mid-tier carbon mold whatever you can buy for mid $3K money will be meh, at best - presuming you can even find such for sale in these times - and will have cratered in value, while this one will have appreciated or at worst lost a fraction of its market position. As for the remarkable nature of it, if you know, you know. Having ridden many steel bikes, there is more to this one and others like it (Kirk, Ellis, et. Al.) than the name on the downtube - the myth of steel bike fungibility is just that.

Based on recent sales, I’d say that’s a very appropriate BIN.
Sachs prices went down slightly for a while, but are now on the rise, especially for nicely appointed examples like this one.
