Any updates to this thread? I can't see Eurosport player pricing unless I invest in the VPN...

I will check tomorrow when connected but IIRC it was around $40-50 USD. I didn’t give it a second thought. The VPN is absolutely necessary going this route. You could do a monthly VPN just to check things out if needed.

I just looked, it appears to be 40 GBP (VAT included) for 12 months.

Never realised how blessed I am to live in The Netherlands where there's live coverage of the TdF (and most other races) on three free public channels (the open Eurosport channel and both Dutch and Flemish national television)

If you have a VPN with UK access, you can register for an ITV account for free and stream from the website.

Watching it live right now on NBC Sports Gold via my Roku. Not super happy that they raised the price to $50 this year but it's still a bargain IMHO.
No commercials and no hunting around for pirate feeds. The commentators are Australians, not Phil and Paul, though last year I think P&P did the end of the stages. Regardless of what I think of P&P (I don't mind them), this is the best way to watch it IMHO. |

I tend to agree, NBC Sports is effortless with excellent video, and it always works. $50 gives one an entire year too. It’s still a bargain.

I have NordVPN and have thus far been watching it on nos.nl. I'd like to find a free English stream but so far no go. SBS down in Australia is streaming it but I haven't been able to get it to work

I'm going to second the ITV coverage recommendation. It's really very good, they have a one hour highlights show. Gary Imlach and Chris Boardman are good studio hosts, and I like Ned Boulting and David Millar as commentators. The only thing missing for me is Sean Kelly; I grew up with David Duffield and Sean Kelly and watching the tour without him is still weird...

TDF covg + more on NBC
If you buy NBC Gold for $50 you also get the Vuelta and the UCI cross world cup races and Worlds so a good deal. If you miss a stage live you can watch on replay so no need to worry about trying to DVR etc.

I usually watch all the games with nord, it`s quite stable and reliable. I think you should read nord vpn reviews and check out if it fits for watching TDF.

another option is signing up to cyclingtorrents.nl.....they put the eurosport or aussie torrent up just after the stage...you download it then bounce it to your tv set...totally free...best of both worlds and thank god no phil and paul bs....
