I don't remember seeing any tire pressure calculators that command, "Thou shalt ride this pressure, and no other pressure". They all say that they are starting point, which may be varied for individual circumstances and preferences. (And by the way, the Silca calculator allows selection of front/rear weight distribution.)

Yeah, but it doesn't go mushy. There's still more than enough pressure in it. If I inflated the front tire to the same pressure as the rear, ride comfort would suffer.
