This is behind my initial assumption that it would be possible to board a flight under an assumed name. Sure, maybe when you scan your boarding pass at the jetway there is an alogrithm that x-references that you successfully cleared TSA at some point, but I've done enough work with giant data sets to know that kind of interface and crosstalk is non-trivial even within the same organization, let alone TSA with every airline.

If she were baiting and switching, the easiest thing to do would be to go into the airport and leave via train -- either NJ Transit or Amtrak. That said, going into a secure area with a multitude of cameras is sort of dumb if you know you're wanted for murder.

It's very easy for me to believe that the intended overlap of airline / TSA responsibility has significant gaps in reality.

If there were such a check in place, then you would not be able to purchase a ticket under a fake name in the secure terminal area and board a plane, after having entered the terminal with a different boarding pass and name. So no data wrangling would be necessary in the first place. But in any case, we are talking about querying various data bases and doing joins. It may not be trivial but it is rather straightforward.

Flying "private" is not as expensive as you would think - and no TSA I believe. Probably much easier to go this route with falsified documents. This specific company might not be where she "was", but there are other companies like it.

I'd agree with that last statement. Occam's Razor.

She's not Jason Bourne for god sake and she doesn't seem the type to have connections with people who could point her to people to get fake IDs...at least ones that would be good enough to clear you beyond the corner liquor store.

In on page 5.

So far:
speculation about interconnected-ness of various security agency DBs.
speculation about alias and fake docs.
speculation about how/if she got cash from hooking/escorting.

I'll come back in 5 more pages and see if she's materialized from the ether.
