proof that people will complain about anything.

last week: this forum sucks because there are too many OT threads on the front page of a cycling forum

this week: this forum sucks because there is a lively discussion about bicycle racing on a cycling forum.

I didn't get the OP title, and this racing thread hasn't improved it much. Looks like an unremarkable win to my eyes.

Is the horse dead yet?

If this happened next week in France most folks would be applauding.

yeah, i know how racing works. i raced MA/RI district from 78-87. you dont need to “school me” thanks very much.

All i will say is, if EF, with all their depth of riders and deep pockets, needs its rider to follow those tactics for two laps to win, that says a lot about Lauren DeC.
fin.

With all of DeC's strength, setting up male domestiques to feed and pace while all the other women rode self supported, what does that say about her?

You can't blame EF for good racecraft. You would want Emma to work w/ DeC against her own EF teammate bridging up?

I have far less respect for DeC's tactics than road racing tactics 101. Simple fact is, no matter what the scenario was, her chance of winning was very minor.

Swings and roundabouts. DeC was the nail that day.

She had male domestiques at Nationals? That's clearly a violation of the rules.

It was from August 2021:https://www.velonews.com/events/monu...at-that-means/

Couple weeks ago was mixed fields issue where the women’s race is entirely dependent on the men.

The whining from the other women after that race was no different than DeC whining about “lame-ass moves” after Nationals.
