Winspace is due to come out with a new wheelset. July 1st. I am keeping an eye on it...

My BTLOS extralight build came in at 1396g. I have a few hundred miles on them at this point. Excellent wheels. $891 shipped. Stiff and roll so well at speed. Gobs of braking power using black prince pads. No issues descending. Build listed below.

Novatec AS511SB: 20H, QR*100mm, Non Disc, Straight pull
Novatec FS522SB: 24H, QR*130mm, Shimano Road 11s, Non Disc, Straight pull
RC-55: Extralight, Special braking surface (arc), Matte, UD, 20H, None Decal
RC-55: Extralight, Special braking surface (arc), Matte, UD, 24H, None Decal
Front Wheel: Sapim CX-Ray: Straight pull
Rear Wheel drive side: Sapim CX-Sprint: Straight pull
Rear Wheel Non drive side: Sapim CX-Ray: Straight pull
Sapim-Nipple: Aluminium Black

Search online for coupon codes — there likely are 20%off coupons around. I ride the the 64AS rim brake wheels. They are really great wheels, especially at the very reasonable prices. I have no problem with heat buildup on long downhills. But I never ride the brakes for long periods of time.

I’ve got a set of Farsports feder rims Laced to DT180 that come in at ~1200g with brass nips. Great wheels, not fragile.

Yes, those look really tempting -- together with the new winspace ones. Really, the Chinese have taken over the rim-brake tubeless wheelset market, they seem to be so far the only enticing option for me.

Thanks for the build specs. I reckon you could go shave down 100 grams or more if you get lighter hubs. This is probably another option...
