Rust treatment for inside a tube
Recently acquired this (old) Tacx T3050 stand for pretty cheap.
The upper tube slides into the lower tube. The lower had a bit of inside rust which transferred to the chrome plating on the outside of the upper tube. Got it off the upper with CLR but it'll probably come back since it does make contact and I plan on using this for cleaning. What's a good rust treatment for the inside of the lower tube? Guessing it won't be easy to get the whole length coated and the sliding friction of the two tubes will probably scrape it off over time. Preferably something that's "dry" and won't inhibit the sliding. |

Boeshield is good rust protectant and will lubricate as well.If there is a significant amount of rust, I like the Evaporust idea first as well.
