My fit is easy to find on other builds - but I'm pretty particular about spec. When I look at complete bikes, I am always looking at the parts I'd have to swap and end up just doing piece meal.
Yea Im debating on maybe getting a C59 or a Ti or a ???

Hoping to learn more from your experience.

End of the year deal on an S-Works Tarmac (etapz) or Hi Mod Evo (9150). If MSRP is $11,000, you'll find them marked down to $7000. If you ask, the price will drop another $500 and the shop will eat the sales tax.

Open UP with Force and ENVEs. (one online dealer can build this out-da-door for $6000)

The Speedvagen Ice-T is definitely an interesting option.

333Fab Air Land Sea. Oops, it's already on order.

All the other goodies would blow through 6k for a new frame plus parts on any build I would consider, and I'm done buying used bikes that are close but not quite.

F/F/HS + Campy 10 build.

And would be again.

I would go with a ti Hampsten Strada Bianca or ti IF Club racer, or have Eriksen build something in a similar geo, which gets you to about $4k.

I'd then drop about $400 on new wheels from Old Potatoe (using Ultegra 6800 hubs from Crosslake Sales on ebay), and since I'm cheap, fill in the rest with 10 speed ultegra and other assorted bits from ebay. All in, probably a hair over $5K. However, if you want new and buy a group on sale from the UK sites, you would still be under $6k.

I think you misread the title of the thread. OP is asking for options at $6,000 not $60,000.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with yours. The details in the Radavist wrote-up look pretty cool..

Just bought a Wilier Cento 10 NDR, frame/fork, swapped out EPS from team issue bike, spent 1/3 of that 6K, it rides lovely. Oh and I was”told”, I have the first of its kind in the US

I would try to find my old IF grassroots Ti cross bike and if I had enough left over start bugging Indyrider to sell me my old 29er.

If that didn’t work, I want Wout Van Aert’s old colnago cross bike with eTap and disc Zipp 202’s or 303’s.

Go to Italia and visit a small builder, talk to them, buy a frame...then spend some time there and fly back..

OR...'buy' a tour with Andy Hampsten. Maybe buy a local bike, do tour, fly back.

OR buy a older bike, do L'Eroica, fly back..
