You saying this is your first MTB? Bike like that is a race rocket. (You may be too) but all I'm saying if you don't like mtb give a less stallion-like ride a chance. Fatter tires and droppers are super fun and can really scratch the itch.
Thanks - I grew up riding hard-tails and rigid MTBs in the 90s, and then transitioned to the road. I've had a few small patches in between where I had an MTB in the garage, but even then I gravitated still to the light/fast end of the spectrum. I've got in my mind that I'm going to race some endurance events this year - maybe 6 Hrs of Mt. Hood, or Cascade 100 - so I figured staying on the light/fast track was a good way to go. But honestly, I have so much to learn and re-learn it's a little mind-boggling. The technology is just insanely different. I'm going to give it a go though. Guess I'm off to reset my password on mtbr.com and try to find some peeps to show me the trails up here...

This.
It's a custom frame for a shop in Canal Winchester Ohio. It will be displayed at NAHBS. It has a custom made headbadge with the shop logo.

Dang, even his signature is cool!

Any ideas on how to preserve that?

You just did.

In a picture.

I put a strip of transparent airplane tape over the fragile logo of my 20+ year-old Merlin.

Clearcoat, or clear helicopter tape is all I could think of to protect a signature on a bike. I have one from merckx on a bike that I thought about trying to preserve it with either method. The clearcoat wasnt a practical option as im not that good a painter and I thought about how solvents in the clear may actually remove the signature, or just make it look really bad, or it would get pulled off if the tape got dirty and had to be removed. So I'm just going to enjoy it as long as it lasts and not worry.

Wise words. If it rubs off, all the more incentive to take a trip to Italy...

Ha ha, love it!

So...do I do Chorus to preserve the white/black thing...or SR because it's SR...??

Beautiful and not even cracked!!

Clear tape but even that will yellow over time. Depending on how it's written, with what, some clear spray but that might 'dissolve' it.

It would look great with Potenza or maybe 2018 Centaur also..or Record..just Campag...Andy would approve.

It would be a bit of a crime to put anything other than Campy on a bike called "La Dolce Vita"

I think I'm going to start with Chorus11 5-arm and Record/Nemesis wheels to get it built this weekend, and then decide if I switch it over to some new SR11 and Shamals at some point, or sell that stuff off instead to replenish the bike account...

Build done, but it’s raining buckets for the foreseeable future, so I won’t be riding it outside or taking proper photos for a bit..

The green Pave tires won’t be staying...though they look better than I expected.

And I need to dial in saddle setback a bit since this is my first time trying a Cambium.
