Sounds dumb but who can tell this scenery could not happen??? Junior grand fondo or even the big guys, and somebody decided to just stop the event in protest for the immortality of the crabs just because there's a lot of TV coverage and stuff? The cycling even might become what is not. And we dont have Hinault there to punish anybody anymore.

Dont take me wrong, great idea, but way too risky for today's atmosphere.

Portland Metropolitan area is somewhere in the area of 6,500 square miles. The protests are taking up about 5 square blocks. If you are "bothered or offended" by the protests, stay in the other 6,499 square miles and you will be fine.

I think Road Worlds would be great here. I will find a way to go if it comes!
