Why not? They look a lot like the newer Pirellis, and I like that they put out a tan option. Worth a try.

Very lightweight and reasonably priced.

Isn't Enve owned by Mavic? Maybe Mavic made the tires.

I was already thinking about a set of the Foundation 45 wheels.

did you guys also see that these tires can be used tubeless on hookless rims at 85 psi. it confirms my suspicions that road tubeless riding on hookless rims is safe with regards to high psi values. even alto cycling sells tubeless hookless road wheels that can take high 100 psi!

though i now wonder, can someone take 21 mm tubeless compatible, hookless carbon rims (designed for narrow mtb tires) and run 30 mm tubeless road tires and have high psi (70-75 psi) in them?

For sure, a lot of third-party tires actually come from Panaracer.

What about Continental? Are there any brands/models of tires they make for other companies?

From BTD email: Manufactured in partnership with TUFO, the SES collection includes four widths and two sidewalls, each optimized for a different style of riding.

Maybe Elaine wrote the copy?

I'm not interested in tires from Enve. It seems like a strange thing to offer. Tire manufacturing is something of a black art - compounds, construction, the "cooking" of the rubber etc.

Mavic's tires weren't very good, and I don't imagine Enve's would have any advantage, other than cosmetic matching for their wheels, over dedicated tire companies like Vittoria, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, Panaracer, Maxxis (soft spot for the old Equipe Legere) or any of the others that focus on tires. Wow! That was a long sentence!

I am quite interested in the Goodyear tires, just to try something different and when I wear out my current set of GP5000s I'll check them out - which, by the way, seem to be wearing quite well.

$75 is not cheap but I thought Enve would price them like other enve products. Its on par with Rene Herse which I always pay exorbitant prices for.

Also Vittoria is usually expensive too but you can always get them well under MSRP so maybe will be the same with this. Rene Herse however, you be lucky if you get $5/10 off.

I am not a big fan of Enve as a company so will probably not be buying these... I will however love to hear what people have to say about them... I bet they are not terrible but not surprised Enve copy reads like... these are the best tires ever made.

people buy the ugly heavy enve stem so they can match all their enve stuff, they will buy the tires for the ultimate match
