Thanks for playing.

Thanks to everyone who participated, especially to those who shared comments.

Many of you don’t seem to care about that little pocket, but enough of you do to make me consider keeping it. I’ll do a cost/benefit analysis when I get my next sample made and make a decision, but my hunch tells me I should keep it.

Cheers,

Harth

Thumbs up

Who among us has not done the slightly-panicked Check Pockets Macarena dance to ensure must-have stuff has not been misplaced?
Sure, we all ride with regular three-pocket jerseys when that is all that is around, yet details like tiny little key pocket are differentiators.

I too am between #1 and #2 so didn't vote.

My main use of the zippered pocket is for my car keys when I have to drive to ride. I can afford to lose everything else that I carry in my jersey pockets but losing my car keys means finding another way to get home or imposing on a family member to schlep another key out to where I am. I don't consider the pocket essential but its absence would severely diminish the likelihood that I buy that jersey.

I sincerely wish this was a standard feature in all high-quality cycling jerseys. Some items cannot be lost on the road.
Exactly my opinion!

ill use a zipper pocket if the jersey has one, but if not i just slide a couple twenties up the leg o my bibs. stops for beer n smokes are mildly embarassing, but i bet my sweaty bills are less gross than a lot of stuff 7-11 employees deal with.. and now most are wearing gloves anyway. 🙂

On one of my Champion jerseys, the 4th zippered pocket has a waterproof lining which is great for those times you get caught in the rain and need to protect the phone. Fits my iPhone 5S easily.

My jacket has a small bit of lens cleaning fabric stitched into the bottom corner.

These are the little details that makes me feel better about paying $100+ for a premium cycling t-shirt.

Otherwise, I just stick to the mid level stuff which has a perfectly fine fit for the price point.

Ha, just the opposite here. Have it on a few jerseys and never use it. No possible use for me. Wish it wasn't there!

I use the zippered waterproof pocket to keep my phone dry. It has been very useful.

while we're here and talking about jersey design...

I love jerseys with a buttonhole behind a rear pocket (preferably right rear) to run a headphone cable through. Simple solution and keeps the wiring clean for the iPhone.

And before this opens up another issue -- only audiobooks, and only right ear.

Harth-

Zipper pocket or no, just a big thanks for having your products on the market.

Years ago, I bought 2 L/S jerseys from someone here on the forum. Not crazy about the color of one, but the black one has been my go to cool / cold weather jersey for years.

Easy to wash, never goes out of style and has been holding up incredibly well.

In a world of disposables, It's easy to appreciate what you do.
