friend wants to know: 6870 di2 Ultegra GS RD with 11-36 cassette?

50-34 compact crank. I am near positive won't work on its own but think should work with Road Link. What you got?

i use a 34t with a 7700 rear der, so id think theres at least a chance any ultegra der will work with a 36. dont crosschain.

but thats all i got.

The mechanical RD-6800-GS shifts this combo with ease. No roadlink or other nonsense. Works crosschaining both directions. I bet it’ll work.

It should work, it’s rated to 34t and every Shimano RD I’ve used happily shifts +2 teeth.

Edit - n/m 6800 only rated to 32t. Only the newer versions are 34t.
