This isn't a surprise given the success of Strada Bianche, the cobble and now gravel sectors in the classics, as well as the recent use of gravel passes on world tours.

If pros are going to race gravel, then they might as well be regulated.

Sounds like a great opportunity for brands to finally feature the pros on their gravel bike models, opposed to regular road race models for above-mentioned gravel-like world tour races.

I like it. Colin Strickland and Ted King can chat about rest stop etiquette while Wout van Aert and Matthieu van der Poel are 30 minutes up the road.
