Incoming Aluminum Zank

I think Jimbo's and mine are going to be done around the same time. My frame is made with Adversa tubing. Not sure if that's scandium by another name, but it might be. Going to have a Falz fork in a nod to Dario P.

Here's a mock-up of logos. Final version shifts everything down about 2 inches, with upper DT stripes sitting just below the cable bosses.

Going on 10 months since placing the order. Think it's gonna be worth the wait!

Awesome looking bike! I think you'll enjoy the Scandium tube set.

I had a Ridley Supercross CX bike I raced for a bit. It was Scandium with a carbon wishbone. Very, very light, and stiff as can be. It was great for hard out of the saddle efforts.

Interesting tubes. That thing looks beefy! What was the decision process that you ended up with that tubeset?

Those shaped tubes look pretty awesome! I don't think you can beat an aluminum Zanconato if you want one of the best riding bikes around. I have a second hand cx and if I didn't look down I'd swear I was riding steel!

Mike sent me this pic just after it came back from paint. Hope to see it soon after he's done with prep and shipping. Paint design came out perfectly executed - whoever he uses did a great job.

Pure roadie? Tire clearance? Threaded BB?

Yes, pure roadie (although it will take 28mm tires), threaded BB, Falz fork, will build up w/11 speed Ultegra (8000?) w/ various wheelsets.

Very curious to try the Falz fork on this. Design took into account the 45mm rake those forks come with.

Frame arrived, but build is on hold while a headset gets delivered and installed by a LBS. Very frustrating - I ordered a headset to be installed on the frame by the builder before shipping. Thought when frame arrived I could go straight into building it up and have it on the road in a day or two. Had I known it would come w/o a headset, I would've had one ordered months ago ready to go.

So it just sits in the box for another week or so, with the holiday weekend passing by.

PS. It is a totally beautiful frame. Tube shaping is really wild. The photos posted so far don't begin to show it. Falz fork looks great with it, too.
