ATTN data geeks: comparing HR sensor data
I've ridden for many years with a HR chest strap but am about to try a Garmin Fenix watch as an alternative. I plan to do a couple of rides with both and would like to be able to analyze the two data streams after the fact. My plan is to record the chest strap HR data via my Wahoo and the Fenix data on the watch, which I believe I can then upload to a variety of sites using Garmin Connect.
My question: how do I export the two heart rate datastreams into one file (e.g., xlsx, comma delimited, etc.) in order to compare the two streams? I see that, e.g., dcrainmaker does exactly this and presents the analysis, I just don't know what his method is. I don't mind if I have to do a bit of programming, but I assume it's more of a data extraction problem. Thanks |

https://zwiftpower.com has an analysis tool you can use.
I believe it can support up to 3 fit files. It's typically used to compare power meters used on the same activity, but as far as I can tell it also supports HR data. http://www.goldencheetah.org also allows you to compare 2 GPX/FIT files. $5 for a 1 day pass to the DCRainmaker tool.... https://www.dcrainmaker.com/analyzer Or manually, it can be done: Export the sessions as a csv file and graph the heart rates. It took me 3 minutes to test it in Apple numbers. Last edited by kppolich; 09-05-2024 at 03:40 PM. |
