Gracias. It really is cool...even better in the flesh (or carbon I guess). I've really been enjoying getting to know the bike. My latest impression is on the precision of the handling/driving. I moves so perfectly with the lightest touch. Very rewarding....but also could be not great for someone who is heavy handed. I just think and lean a little and the bike does the rest. Good times! Awesome bike. Its really wild to see what big manufactuers are doing today when compared to 10 years ago.

Anyone ride one recently or have any new thoughts? Kind of itching to get one despite how irrational it may be.

Beautiful bike and looks better in person. Hopefully the big S has realized that aero isn't everything for everyone.

100%...and through a leg over it. When the warmer weather comes, we'll see what's what.
Just got 35ish miles today (a lot for having an 8 mo old)...was soooo nice. Can't wait to get better rubber back on there to really feel some goodness...not that Conti GP5ks are crappy tires. Last edited by lavi; 01-18-2021 at 10:02 PM. |

Yeah one of these is pretty much the #1 road bike I want right now.

In truth, I prolly could have been ok with the 10R frameset. Likely the very slight weight diff and ride would have been unnoticeable (to me). The only thing I would have opted to have different is a non-pm crank if had the chance to do my own build. This kid's racing/training days are history.
I also may have opted for some different wheels. I'm glad I didn't. The CLX are pretty dang good. I have zero interest in tubeless for road at 90kg. I thought there may have been some scarcity issues...so Uncle Roman decided blow some coin on a kick-ass drag boat....err bike. I saw it was available, rubbed my eyes, shook the money tree...and clicked "buy". |

If my frame shows up before summer we can all meet in Bend and you can compare. I have all the parts, just waiting for frame; hopefully the anticipated delivery date of end of the month holds.
BTW - I have your former F8 built up now, looking forward to getting some comparison rides one of these days. |
