Fingerless glove recommendations

I have traditionally ridden without gloves, but with some hand nerve issues, I'm thinking I better start. I have an old pair maybe from Performance or the like and just looked at the Rapha Brevet Mitts. Anyone have one they have been particularly happy with? Something with decent padding but not overly bulky would be ideal. Thanks.

Cuero Gloves seem to be developing a bit of a following on this and other enthusiast websites.

The new Assos RS Aero gloves are fantastic and a great improvement over the previous generation.

I recently tried a pair of Cueros at the advice of multiple forum members. For me they do not work well. I am a heavy sweater, and the natural leather becomes very slippery on the bar tape when wet (and they get saturated fairly quickly in this New England summer weather). That said, they are a nice looking product when new, although in my experience they do not stay in great condition / shape for long.

The lifespan of my pair has been much less than what I'd anticipate for a product of this cost. After ~3 months and maybe 3k miles or so, mine have developed minor holes around the seams, despite using the manufacturer-recommended care products I purchased with the gloves. My prior pair of gloves lasted about 7k miles and cost less than half what the Cueros did.

I've reached out to Cuero recently with an inquiry for customer service/support about the fast wear / holes but no response from them yet. I think it's a small company, so perhaps they'll get around to answering in time.

In the past I have had good luck with Velocio, Giro, and Giant gloves. Probably going back to another pair of the Velocios to replace the Cueros. They breathe very well and the suede palms remain grippy even when soaked.

Excellent real-world feedback. That is what keeps this place great.

If they somehow improved on the Summer Gloves, I'll have to try a pair. Seven different sizes, no velcro and padding in all the right spots. Killer mitts.

My biggest preference is to NOT have velcro closures.
I know that some folks like the adjustability yet my sense is velcro is another point of failure.
Another thing is that gloves without velcro, snaps, and/or zippers just seem more sleek.

Giro Bravo Gels and Assos Summer Gloves are working well for me atm in rotation as far as comfort and cooling and both sides of the price spectrum.

I got a new pair this spring. They are great. Except that the suede-like material between the pads has already torn and disintegrated.

I have large hands. The Assos gloves come in XL and XLG. I did not find anything that tells me the difference - I may have missed a sizing guide. Does anyone know the difference?
