I had 5 to choose from, but took the S&S coupled Co-Motion for convenience. Still in the box, so no pictures... I had a Quickbeam for a while, it was a little too stiff for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes! Shame I hoped to be able make it myself, but alas.
Enjoy your ride and I'll be sure to raise a glass to all who've gone! Ánimo! Ánimo!

It's not a race but...
I'm following a mixed tandem team and a few other riders from New England Randonneurs. The tandem made Brest in 24:33, though their pace has been dropping. Some other NERds are also tearing it up
...and also tracking Paceliners who provided bib numbers...! Last edited by marciero; 08-19-2019 at 08:50 PM. |

I wonder what was the time of the first finisher. I found one rider who finished in 49:00.
I heard that there were headwinds on the way out to Brest. I hope all the riders have tailwinds on the return!

Unlikely, because the prevailing winds are westerly, but this often turns into a land breeze in the evenings. On top of that, the route out of the controle diverges from the incoming route and tacks around the northern outskirts of the city, e.g. you do not ride back across the famous bridge.
In 2007 we were very much looking forward to a tailwind out of Brest, but by 7 pm this had turned into a headwind/crosswind. Looks like Jan Heine dropped out of the leading group pretty early . . .
