New POC Procen Air Helmet

Now the cat is really out of the bag, and available for purchase. I already have an Abus Gamechanger, and even that looks mildly mushroomy for my smaller skull. That being said, in the quest for aero, is looking dumb that bad for free speed?

Great we can look like Rick Moranis in Mel Brook's Spaceballs.

I wish I could wear a helmet with integrated visor without looking like a desperate try hard. This one doesn't even look bad.

doesn't the beard negate all aero benefits that come with purchase?

It disrupts airflow like dimples on a golf ball.

I hate it but I don't mind the idea of integrated helmet/visor but there's never been one that actually looks good.

If you need the speed and use it who cares what others think.

nor one that actually was more aero with the visor in place. See Alex Dowsett's wind tunnel videos on his channel. Swim cap was more aero than the helmet UAE are currently using

I could potentially justify it for the one or two road races I do a year... just let me live in my delusions.

It would also make all my Oakleys obsolete too, which is unfortunate.

It's not bad visually. Seems like something I'd only wear in an actual race or TT though. I'm not rolling out from home like that for a solo ride.

Interesting to me, as I wear eyeglasses all the time, and rarely remember to bring prescription sunglasses on sunny days. This looks like a solution!

I wonder if it get's hot under there though without the wind?

It's the Insight of helmets, complete with fender skirts for your ears! I mean, I guess aerodynamic shapes converge, so not terribly surprising.

I'm interested for the same reason Angry is though; I wear prescription glasses all the time so something like this seems fairly reasonable. I wonder if a two tone or lighter color would help break it up a little?

You only have to look as far as the version that EF is using now in their races - personally not a huge fan of that particular shade of pink myself but who's to say

I don't care what it looks like. Every POC helmet I ever tried had zero adjustibility on the chin strap at the ears resulting in a kind of uncomfortable 'Dumbo effect'. Don't know why they do that....
