What do you think is the warmer Garneau jacket?
I sent a question in to Garneau about temperature ranges for these 2 jackets I am considering but no word back and I doubt I will hear back before prices go back up.
What do you think is the warmer one between these 2? It would be for every day use and commuting on the bike. https://garneau.com/en-ca/collection...durance-jacket https://garneau.com/en-ca/collection...ndonn-e-jacket |

Looks like one of them has 100g insulation and the other has 160g. My understanding is the higher the warmer, so probably the 160g one.

Fwiw, I emailed Garneau customer service with a different question (trying to get new helmet pads) and they are not exactly responsive. I got a reply two weeks later saying they’ve been bought and they’re busy with the transition.

Those both look ultra warm.
I believe the LG jacket I have is the Orak. It’s soft shell and has jersey style pockets. I wore that today in the upper 30s and lower 40s with just a just a summer jersey underneath and I was way too hot in the woods. Just right out on the road. With a warmer base layer I’ve done 50+ mile rides in the snow (temps in the 20s) and been fine. All these look really nice but the whole black clothing invisible cyclist thing is way out of control. I’d rather be more noticeable. My jacket is blue and white. |
