SOLD! Reynolds Assault carbon clinchers - Campy freehub - $450 shipped

SOLD - Somehow wheels have begun to stack up in the garage. I've purchased these over the past couple of years for one reason or another and just haven't used them. So....to new homes these shall go. The prices include shipping in the Continental U.S. Paypal please...
  • SOLD- Campagnolo 1st Generation Hyperon carbon tubulars with the carbon hubs. Bling, bling, baby! These were exceptionally high-end wheels when they were new and were roughly $2K retail if I remember correctly. Nice and light. A few marks from use, but overall great condition. The tires will need to be replaced (they're only on the rims to cushion the wheels). Smooth, straight, and true. Factory skewers, wheelbags, and owners manuals are included. $450 shipped in the US.
  • SOLD- Chris King R45 hubs (8/9/10 speed Shimano and SRAM cassettes only) laced to 28 hole HED Belgium C2s with Sapim CX-Rays. Nice, light, responsive and comfortable wheelset that can run wide(r) tires. Smooth bearings, straight and true. Includes Salsa skewers. $400 shipped in the U.S.

Still available as of 12/23:

Reynolds Assault carbon clinchers (Campagnolo 10/11 cassettes). This is a nice, 1500 gram wheelset in great condition with low miles. The ugly decals have been removed. Smooth bearings, straight and true. Factory skewers included. Tires in the pics NOT included - they're just on there to protect the rims. $450 shipped in the U.S.

Thanks!

Thanks RW! As you mention, the Hyperons are sold. I've had traction with the Assaults as well but no firm commitments as of yet. Surprisingly, the Chris King/HED wheels have had very little traffic. I would have thought that there would have been more interest in those.

It was! Just wish the assaults did not have a weight limit.

Hmm....Is there a weight limit? I was thinking about these but at 200lbs I'm guessing I've over/close to any limit.

Actually, I told Isaac that the wheels had a 175 lb weight limit and may have been mistaken. Using the Google machine, it appears that there is only one reference to the 175 lb weight limit and that was on a Cervelo forum that was linked to pre 2007 Reynolds carbon wheels.

So, they may or may not have a weight limit. If you're considering these, I'd suggest doing an internet search on weight limits for Reynolds Assaults and draw your own conclusions.

Cheers,

Texbike
