I had the same trajectory. Got the magic shell, loved it, got some bibs. They're nice. Pretty much identical to Twin Six bobs, probably made in the same factory. My take is they're in the middle - better than your garden variety pearl izumi but not up to the level of the $250 bibs. This is exactly where their price slots them, and as someone who is never going to pay more than $150 for bibs, I like mine.

Ornot

I also have the Magic Jacket and like it very much. In addition, I own a jersey, vest and socks, they are my favorites! Haven’t tried bibs, but I’d definitely purchase another jersey and socks, all well made, good fit, great colors.

Insider tip: there's new bibs that are fully redesigned around a new chamois that will be released quite soon

I liked the old bibs, the upcoming ones are even better.

Also if you're in the Bay Area, don't sleep on the Micro Climate. A bit warmer than a wind jacket but still light and packable, it is one of my favorite new pieces of kit this year.

I haven't tried their bibs, although the full length bib tights were on my radar. Maybe the update will push me over the edge on giving a pair a try. The color blocking on the cuff has always looked a bit dated to me and is most likely what kept me from ordering them.

Separately, I'll echo the Micro Climate sentiment above... It was my first piece of their kit, and since then I've ordered several jerseys(House, House LS, and Merino Thermal) and a few random little accessories. I really appreciate the their overall business model, and all the local manufacturing. And with that, their stuff happens to fit me really well.

So I haven’t tried the jackets, just have too many others and am too deep in Assos stuff for them to make sense where I ride. I started with Ornot buying a cool looking pair of socks and the bar bag which was super unique when it came out.

Ended up swinging by their storefront when I was in SF on a trip and picked up a base layer, sleeveless wool base, and a long sleeve house jersey all of which have gone into heavy rotation for me.

The house jerseys have a really nice light, stretchy fabric them and a fit that is right in between full aero race which works perfectly for me. I’d definitely try one, make sure the fit works then dive in if it works for you.

Will also give them a shoutout for their merino sweatshirt, not really an on bike piece, but it works great for coffee runs and is REALLY comfortable without getting too hot.

I have a House and a Work jersey and an original wind jacket. Nice stuff but the newest color selections etc. leave me underwhelmed.

The best thing about the website is when you roll over one of the items and it changes to a different image, the photoshop work on some items is hilarious.

I'd buy more.

they just feel cheap and thin. The chamois is cheap and thin too. Granted I'm used to spending 250+ on bibs as I have a lot of Rapha Proteam and powerweave bibs. Eliel cargo's are nicer, but again 200ish.

Gonna save the Ornot's for summer short rides I guess, where I will be less effected by the thinness.
