Still wearing Assos but no longer crazy about them. Somewhere along the line they made a change away from the straps being a continuation of the short panel to what I now feel is just a pair of shorts with straps sewn on.

Not cheap but my go to is Isadore. Also not cheap but Biehler makes some fine bib shorts.

As far as value goes, I’d say price is hardly a factor regarding bib shorts. A good deal hardly matters if riding your bike is uncomfortable.
The bibs that have worked best for me are Assos Equipe, Ornot House and Pas Normal Studios MechanIan, followed by Sportful BodyFit Pro. It is important to remember that bibs fit everyone differently. As much as I love a certain bib, if we are anatomically different, the way the chamois and legs adhere to our biomechanics will differ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Or not and there's good money from some Japanese vending machines for that kinda thing.

I snap up S5 Mille shorts NIB wherever I can find them for this reason.

my sleeper choice, my danny shanes are the choice on super hot days. very comfy chamois, mine are on season 4 and are starting to finally wear out (time to reorder). ive never got more than 2 seasons from a bib before

Straps are definitely more comfortable than my S5s with that same undercarriage feel. It looks a bit odd, but it works. |

Eliel has great bibs. They also use a Cytech pad - best chamois out there.

Glad to help veggieburger! Now if you don't care for them it's not my fault! ! I do really like them though. I got the matching jersey too and I love it too.

95% of my bibs were bought "used".
I don't claim to be "cleaner" than any of their previous owners. Everything worked out great. I like the three pairs of used Bellwether Heritage bibs that I brought with me on my Singapore trip, wore them everyday during the early morning rides.

I have some low-end Endura bibs that I really like. They were less than $70. I would like to buy another, but I'm not sure which model they are, have to ask the LBS. I mostly have Voler bibs though. Usually buy them on sale. I like to swap between chamois style so the wear points move around.
