Chamois Butt'r Customer Service

I wanted to give a shout out to Curt and the folks at Chamois Butt'r.

I buy Chamois Butt'r in the giant economy size and opened a bottle I'd had on the shelf to eight months. It didn't pump well when I opened it and over the course of a week or two it wouldn't pump at all. I figured that it had thickened over time and posted a question on their site. I expected a stock response about how to dilute it.

What I got was an email dialogue with Curt, the COO, about the nature of the problem and what I could do to fix it. In the end, in addition to advise about how to dilute it, he sent me a new pump and a free tube of of their newest product, coconut.

That was much more than was required and certainly more than I expected. It's great to find a company that actually stands behind its products. I've always liked their products and now I know why.

Continuing the drift…

I recently had a terrible experience buying directly from Pedro's, primarily because they outsource ecommerce and support which made it very difficult to find the right neck to choke. While it took a lot of effort on my part and help from one of their fulfillment partners, they resolved the issue. I sent Pedro's a mild nastygram and, to their credit, acknowledged the issue and sent me a gift.

While that was nice of them I'll definitely have second thoughts about buying direct in the future (no issue with the products themselves).

It is one of my favorite creams but it can be costly if you ride a lot. I usual buy some cheap body lotions to use as a substitute which work just fine.
